Adjara-is located in the southwestern corner of Georgia, bordered by Turkey
to the south and the eastern end of the Black Sea.
Adjara has been part of Colchis and Caucasian
Iberia since ancient times. It became part of the region of Egrisi before being
incorporated into the unified Georgian
Kingdom in the 9th
century AD.

Tsikhisdziri-is situated 17 km north to Batumi. It is stretched 60-90 m above sea-level on the Tsikhisdziri height the sides of which slope down steeply into the sea and form Tsikhisdziri cape. The intruded cape divides the beach into two parts. The uniqueness of Tsikhisdziri climate lies in the fact that it represents the mixture of sea and mountain air. There are a lot of sanatoriums, rest-homes, restaurants, cafe-bars and bungalows in beautiful gardens and parks or on the green slopes of Tsikhisdziri. The beaches are comfortable. Architectural monuments

Gonio fortress-is a fortification in Adjara, on the Black sea, 15 km south of Batumi, at the mouth of the Chorokhi
river. In the 2nd century AD it was a well-fortified Roman city within Colchis.
The town was also known for its theatre and hippodrome. It later came under
Byzantine influence. The name "Gonio" is first attested in Michael Panaretos
in the 14th century. In addition, there was a short-lived Genoese trade factory
at the site.
Petra
fortreess-is located in the village
of Tsikhisdziri, Kobuleti region. It dates back to VI c.AD. Historically this
territory was the settlement place of one of the Kartvelian tribes – Lazes. The
Byzantine Emperor Justinian built a city here because of the unique
military-strategic and trade-economical location. The city was crossed by the
essential road connecting Western Georgia.
The Batumi
Cathedral of the Mother of God-is a
Georgian Orthodox cathedral, of a Gothic Revival design, located in the Black
Sea city of Batumi. The Cathedral was built as a Roman Catholic church through
the sponsorship of the Zubalashvili brothers, Georgian Catholic businessmen,
between 1898 and 1902.

Synagogue-the official date of
formation of Batumi ’s Jewish community of the city is accepted to be around 1878. In Georgian city of Batumi , there existed two
separate communities alongside each other – Ashkenazi (Eropean) and Sefardi
(Georgian). Though this little shul began its functioning in the year 1878.

Batumi Botanical
Garden-is a 111 hectare area of land 9
km north of the city of Batumi.
Located at the place called Mtsvane Kontskhi ("The Green Cape") on
the Black Sea shore, it is one of the
largest botanical gardens. Currently, the garden consists of nine floristic
sectors, those of Caucasian humid subtropics, East Asia, New Zealand, South
America, the Himalayas, Mexico, Australia, and of the Mediterranean. The garden
collection comprises 2037 taxonomic units of ligneous plants, including 104 of
Caucasian origin.
Kobuleti
Reserve-of the Kolkheti National
Park. The Imnati Mire in the Kolkheti lowland is the largest mire in Georgia, and is a worldwide unique percolation bog
with a characteristic vegetation of saw grasses and peat mosses.
